V.O.B. - Architecture: Aedas: Pazhou Hotel

pazhou hotel and mixed-use development by international firm aedas is centrally
located with guangzhou’s large, existing exhibition center zone. this district, within
a spit of land in the pearl river immediately outside of guangzhou center, affords views
to the water from both directions, although the project fronts directly onto one of
the water ways itself. the district is filled with very strong and bold formal design moves
and it was deemed important at the beginning that, although fitting into the surrounding
sensitively, the design strives to be unique and iconic to give the project a strong
and comfortable identity within its surroundings, aiding in its success among competing
neighbors.
the development contains multiple levels of retail spaces, supported by food and beverage.
in the basement there is a direct connection to a subway station with a connection to
the lower exhibition hall and supported with fast food outlets. on the second, third and fourth
levels are retail outlets, and food and beverage venues. the fifth floor becomes more food
and beverage focused. floating above the podium is the exhibition space office tower which
is an extension of the exhibition activities below but also convertible into office space.
the lobby, which straddles the other side of the pre-function concourse for the exhibition
hall, has stacked support spaces until the fourth floor where these supporting functions
have space to open up horizontally in the podium. this floor contains restaurants, bars
and the fitness center. in the middle of this floor, tying all these activities together is
the bottom of a grand 60 meter atrium, which is surrounded by the hotel rooms of the tower.
the building is due to be complete in 2012.

V.O.B. - Fashion: Louis Vuittons Core Values SS 10 Ad Campaign
With the 2010 World Cup set to kick off in a couple of months, Louis Vuitton creates this special campaign highlighting three of the most polarizing figures in the world of football (soccer). Featured for Spring/Summer 2010 is Argentine Diego Maradona, French star Zinedine Zidane, and the great Brazilian Pele’.

Yes Yes No Interactive Projects
Lights On is an audio visual performance created for opening of the new Ars Electronica museum in Linz, Austria, which has a facade that contains 1085 LED controllable windows. The windows' colors are changed in realtime with music that's broadcasted on speakers surrounding the building.
The performance is approximately 10 minutes long. The whole performance has been recorded in software and can be replayed in the future for events.

V.O.B. - Photography: Converse Presents: Youth/Decay Photography Exhibition
Converse collaborate with Jam Division to bring an iconic rock n roll photographer – David Corio from UK to exhibit his collection of stunning portraits in pop culture including Blondie, U2, The Ramones and The Clash. Corio will be sharing his journey and inspiration as a contemporary photo-journalist and stories behind the lens. The exhibition will be opened from April 24th till May 5th 2010. Check it out if you’re in the area.

V.O.B. - Animation: Nike Sister Ont
Worked with AKQA in San Francisco to create an animation as part of a campaign for the new Sister One range from Nike for the South East Asia market. Once it was finished the spot it was decided to tweak it here and there for our own portfolio and what was once a 45 second piece featuring a girl dancing turned into a 1:20 epic about a girl-turned-superhero outsmarting an enraged robot through the centre of a Tokyo-inspired Metropolis.
The spot was used as an excuse to try out a bunch of ideas that had been played with around client work for the past few months along with some new techniques, eager to try out.
